No. Memento runs entirely in your guests' browsers — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge. They scan the QR code, type their first name, and the camera opens. No Play Store, no App Store, no install delay.
By default, 17 photos per guest — enough to capture a night, never enough to scatter. On the Essential plan, the quota is fixed: the constraint is part of the charm. With Memories or Keepsake, you can customize it between 1 and 100, depending on the rhythm you want for your event.
Yes. Turn on the "moderation" option when creating the event. Photos sent by your guests will land in your gallery, but you can approve or delete them before they show up in the export or the memory site.
An elegant public page that showcases the best photos of your event in a visual template you choose. Three styles are available: Album (classic), Editorial (magazine), Pellicule (35 mm contact sheet). The URL is unique and can be shared with your guests — or kept private through an unlisted link. Available in the Keepsakeplan.
On OVHcloud, in France (GRA data center for now). No personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Memento uses no US service subject to the Cloud Act.
By default: only you. The host gallery is private and accessible only from your account. Photos stored on OVHcloud live in a private bucket — access URLs are signed and expire in one hour. If you publish a memory site, only people with its URL can view it.
Yes, automatically. When a photo is processed by our server, every EXIF metadata field — including geolocation, camera model, and original timestamp — is wiped. Only orientation and dimensions are preserved.
Yes, in line with GDPR (articles 15 to 20). From your account, you can export all your data as JSON (right of access) or permanently delete your account (right to erasure). Your guests can also delete their own contributions from the upload-finished page.
No. Never. Your photos are only used for the features you turn on yourself (gallery, export, memory site). Memento does not resell them, does not analyze them for advertising, does not send them to any third party, and does not use them to train any artificial intelligence model.
Yes. Every plan is free during the beta period, capped at 5 events per host. No credit card required. When the beta ends, you'll get 30 days' email notice.
We use Lemonsqueezy as our payment partner. They collect and remit VAT under the EU MOSS scheme on our behalf, so every price you see is tax-included. Business customers can enter their EU VAT number at checkout.
Plans are paid per event, not as a subscription — there's nothing to cancel. For a refund following a problem, reach us at hello@memento.events within 14 days of your purchase.
Every recent phone: iPhone (from iOS 14), Android (from version 9), with a modern browser. Web camera access requires HTTPS, which we guarantee in production.
The photo is saved locally in their browser until the connection comes back, then the upload completes automatically. If the guest closes their tab before the upload is done, the photo is lost — but their quota is not consumed.
20 MB per photo. Beyond that, the upload is rejected server-side to prevent abuse. Photos are automatically converted to optimised WebP for the gallery and storage.
Not yet — Memento is in private beta. If you're a developer interested in the technical approach (Next.js, Drizzle, BullMQ, Postal, Coolify), drop us a line at hello@memento.events — we love talking product and infrastructure.
We answer every email individually during the beta.
